Giving Back during Covid-19

Through it's "Making a Difference" program Stampin' Up has just announced that it is offering a way of "giving back" during the COVID-19 Pandemic Crisis, to support organizations that are helping COVID-19 frontline responders and communities vulnerable to the pandemic.

Stampin' Up! has designed and is offering a 15 page PDF digital stamp set called "Share the Sunshine".  This digital stamp which is available for purchase by both demonstrators and customers, is packed with both lighthearted and thoughtful sentiments and imagery relevant to the unique COVID-19 and social distancing situation we are currently in.

You can use this download in your cardmaking and papercrafting projects. Simply print the imagery on cardstock and cut it out using Stampin’ Up!’s Paper Trimmer, punches, or dies. Since we are physically distanced from each other, now is a perfect time to share sunshine with our friends and family by sending cards!

Purchase the Share Sunshine PDF Download for $12.00 US (the download will be charged in US dollars; your financial institution will convert the charge into your currency based on current exchange rates). Here is the link:  Share The Sunshine Downloads

Stampin' Up! will donate 100% of the proceeds raised from these sales to COVID-19 efforts through these organizations:

  • The World Health Organization’s COVID-Solidarity Response Fund

  • United Way Worldwide’s COVID-19 Community Response and Recovery Fund

Note:
The Share Sunshine PDF Download is a "non-shareable PDF and is for personal use only. Order the PDF and print your own.  When you purchase the PDF download, please remember not to share it with others, as this takes away from the organizations Stampin' Up! is trying to support!  Help Stampin' Up! make a difference today!

Two Ways to Say It With Love

Hi Stampers.  Today I thought I'd share a couple of projects I made at Cheryl LeFore's Stamp Camp the other night that use the new "All My Love Suite" from the Occasions Catalogue.

This beautiful and practical product suite on pages 4-9 of the Occasions Catalogue is all hearts and flowers and can extend way beyond Valentine's Day  covering you for anniversaries, weddings, birthdays and other love filled occasions.

Product Preview Video:  All My Love Suite

Here Are The Projects We Made at Stamp Camp:

Both the card and treat box are simply gorgeous.  These projects were quick and easy to assemble.
The card is a combination of die cutting and stamping using the Forever Lovely Bundle.  The bundle includes the Forever Lovely Stamp set which has 13 photopolymer stamps and the coordinating die called Lovely Flowers Edgelits Dies.

Look at the beautiful detail achieved by overlaying the die cut panel on top of the stamped one.  Cheryl showed us how to set up the two coordinating stamp images using the Stamparatus and then stamping them with Flirty Flamingo and Soft Sea Foam inks.  The Subtle Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder created the beautiful texture on the white panel.  This is the first time I've used cardstock that has been embossed with this folder, and I was sold on it.  It was one of the first items to go on my 2019 Stamping Wish List.

I also really liked the All My Love designer paper used on the bottom panel.  The floral images flow beautifully and the combination of Lovely Lipstick, Flirty Flamingo and Soft Seam Foam is such a soft romantic mix.  This paper pack works for both the Meant to Be and the Forever Lovely bundles.  The coordinating 1/8" cotton ribbon was fun to work with too.

The "Wishing You a Lovely Day" is one of those timeless sentiments that can be used for so many occasions and the font simply flows.  Love it!

A simple flower was stamped on both the envelope and the inside of the card.  The stamps in this set are called "distinctive" images.  To achieve a clean clearly layered image don't over-ink the stamps, just tap lightly against the ink pad to add colour to the stamp.  Also whenever you're stamping with Photopolymer stamps use a foam mat on your stamping surface to absorb the pressure on the stamp.

Our second Project was this adorable Valentine's Treat Box made using the "Meant To Be" bundle.

Make sure you check out the video above to see how these dies cut out.  They are amazing and would make a great addition to your stampers "must have tool chest".

The treat box was easy to assemble using a template that was provided in the class.  It measures 3 3/4" x 3" and is about 1" deep and was big enough to hold 4 chocolate Valentine Hearts (Hersheys) in the small cello bag.
Well that's it for today.  I'm going to be sharing more bundles with you over the days ahead.  If you have questions about this post, or would like to see more samples using the All My Love Suite let me know.

Cling Stamps - A Change You're Going to Love

Hi stampers. Yesterday I introduced you to the new Occasions Catalogue and Sale-a-bration flyer and I hope you've had a chance to explore them.

If you did, did you check out the exciting news and "Introduction to Cling Stamps" on page 3 of the Occasions Catalogue? If you're like me you probably looked at the awesome samples on that page and breezed right by the note.

What's All the Hype About?
  • Cling Stamps are now available for purchase with the release of the Occasions Catalogue!
  • Stampin’ Up!’s classic red rubber stamps are great for detailed imagery.
  • No more frustration with clear blocks....the new Stampin' Up! Cling Stamp Sets come with adhesive image labels that will cling like crazy to clear blocks or Stamparatus plates  each time you use them.
  • Unfortunately for those who love Wood Blocks you'll see these phased out in the 2019/20 Annual and Occasions catalogues, with the exception of the large background stamps.
To see more information about Cling Stamps please watch Natalie's informative video:

November 2018 is quickly coming to an end, and along with that the Catch a Snowflake promotion will end on the 30 or while supplies last.  Let it snow! Or at least, create a snowy wonderland using this incredible assortment of products. With two stamp sets, paper, accessories, and dies, the only limit is your creativity!
Click here to see the PDF Flyer with all the products:

Let's take a look at this remarkable grouping of snowflake products.

Here are some Gift Card holders I made with it the other night:

Snowfall Thinlet Dies
This gorgeous card utilizes the Snowfall Thinlits Dies  on the face of this cute little envelope that holds a message and a gift card.  There are 20 dies in this set and here you can see the largest one which measures 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 inches.  These beautiful  snowflakes have been cut from glimmer and foil papers.

The sentiments "Sending a blizzard of wishes for a wonderful season" and the "For You" tag are from the 14 piece Snow Is Glistening Photopolymer Stamp Set.  I've embossed them with Gold Embossing Powder.

My second gift card holder features stamps from the Happiness Surrounds Photopolymer stamp set.

I've also used the Snowfall Thinlet Dies to cut the floral shapes.  Not only are these pretty winter card dies but they can extend into other seasons of the year too.  You've got to like that!

Happiness Surrounds

The background is stamped with the large medallion and the flowers were cut out with the Snowfall Thinlet Dies.  The "It's Your Day" stamp is perfect for weddings, congrats on a job well done, birthdays and other occasions.
Remember this sale only lasts until November 30th or while supplies last so if you're interested in getting any of the products from the Snowflake Showcase, now's the time to act.  You may even want to combine your order with products that will be on sale tomorrow in the Extravaganza Sale.

I've been on a Self-Imposed Hiatus and Now It's Time for a Reboot............

You may have noticed that I've been out of the blog loop for a few months now, and wondering why I'm no longer participating in challenges or posting as consistently as I was.  The truth is during the Spring I began rethinking where I am in life and what I personally want to do.

I realized that while I'm enthusiastic and passionate about stamping and creating, I'm also passionate about my family and friends and how I spend my time with them. Let's face it, it's not easy to golf when your mind is working on a project deadline.  So, I made some tough choices and re-evaluated how I want to spend my time.

My first step towards change, was saying farewell to the Watercooler Wednesday and Creative Circle Design Teams, I'd participated on for the past two years. While I always tried to meet the team challenges with gusto and make each project special and appealing for my followers and the design team, my over zealousness in completing my assignments and balancing other parts of my life totally drained my time and energy.

I had an awesome journey designing with these groups, expanded my paper crafting skills and meeting many new and wonderful friends along the way.  Hopefully through my blog and my projects I succeeded in sharing these adventures and growth with you.

So what's next?   Is this the end of Penny Tokens Stampin' Spot Blog?  Definitely not.  It's still my stamping forum and will continue but its currently under construction.

So please hang in there and don't give up on me while I go through this metamorphosis.  And, thanks in advance for your patience, encouragement and support.  As always....

Guess Who's Going to OnStage Orlando November 2018

Can you see my happy feet dancing?  Well they are  and the reason is clear..........I'm registered to go to Stampin' Up!s 30th Anniversary OnStage Live Event in Orlando Florida this November!  Whoo Hoo!  And, to make it all the more wonderful I'm going with some of my awesome downline and fellow stampers from the Fraser Valley area!  I can't wait.

For me one of the most exciting parts of registration for an event like this is being able to volunteer my time and services while I'm there.  Stampin' Up! offers lots of opportunities for this from Prize Patrol, Make N' Take Volunteers, Demonstrating on OnStage Live and Display Board Presenters.

I'm up for all of that but I'm choosing to volunteer as a Display Board Presenter and to qualify I have to share the following items I've created:

  • 3 cards,
  • two 3-D items
  • 1 scrapbook page

Cards:
Abstract Impressions is one of my favourite sets in the Annual Catalogue this season.  What better way to show it off than with the brand new Incolours and Incolour Designer Papers.  I've also paired it with the Eastern Medallions and Stitch Shapes Die Cuts.
I'm also a huge fan of the Painted Harvest stamp set and have made many cards with it this year.  I was so happy to see this set return in the Annual Catalogue.  This was one of my favourite cards, featuring the Gorgeous Grape and Rich Razzleberry Inks.

I love versatility and this fun hostess set Hand Delivered from the Annual Catalogue has really been fun to create with.  Here I've paired it with the Tranquil Textures designer series paper and Mint Macaroon card stock to create a calm soothing get well card.
3-D Items:

I love making 3-Dimensional items and this year one of my proudest accomplishments were my mantle scapes.  Here are some pictures of my Fall one which features the Jar of Love Stamp set and Every Day Jar Framelit dies  and the Seasonal Layers Thinlet Dies and Colourful Seasons Stamp Set.

This accordion fold center piece measures 18" long and folds up into a small package that is held together when closed with a belly band that is also decorated.  My customers have asked me to do a class on this Thanksgiving Mantle Scape and also a Christmas theme one using some sets from the new Holiday Catalogue. If you would like more information on how this Fall Mantlescape was made click on this link:

My Second 3-D Item is:

This is part of my colour display that I worked on for the Color Revamp this season.  Each panel represents a core colour family - Brights, Regals, and Subtles.

Scrapbook Page:

This scrapbook page is a combination of the Under the Mistletoe designer paper in the Annual Catalogue and the Blended Seasons Stamp and Stitched Seasons Dies that are on special during the month of August 2018.
