WHAT DEFINES THE TERM DIVERSITY IN THIS MODERN DAY WORLD?
If you Google the word "diversity" the common definition you'll find is that it is "any dimension" that can be used to differentiate groups and people from one another. Simply put, diversity is about empowering people through respect and appreciation of what sets them apart or makes them different. It doesn't matter what sets them apart - it could be their age, their gender, their ethnicity, their religion, their disability, their sexual orientation, their level of education, their national origin and so on.
Globally celebrating and acknowledging May 21st as World Diversity and Inclusion Day gives us a safe, positive and nurturing platform to develop an understanding of other cultures, persuasions, passions as individuals, families and communities. Be sure to mark this annual event on your calendar and help celebrate our differences in a fun and creative way.
How is Stampin' Up Celebrating World Diversity and Inclusion Day?Stampin’ Up!s first value statement is "we care about people first". Caring about people first means treating others with kindness, respect, and equal consideration.
In honor of this value—and in the spirit of World Diversity Day—Stampin' Up! would like to celebrate what makes us unique through what brings us together our creativity! They have designed a 14 page digital download to celebrate creativity and it's absolutely FREE for everyone.
The download is called United Through Creativity Digital Download and features inclusive, multicultural, and multilingual sentiments and illustrations that represent the multiple markets Stampin’ Up! engages with.
Once again, it’s free for all of us! Just choose the PDF version that works for you.
