Another week has flown by so to speak, and here we are at Sunday once again and a new card challenge from Try A Sketch On Tuesday (TSOT#647)Try A Sketch On Tuesday (TSOT#647).

HERE IS THE SKETCH:

This sketch was perfect backdrop for a masculine birthday card I was planning using Stampin' Ups! recently released Take To the Sky Suite Collection.  I was excited to be able to use the Adventurous Sky Dies.

HERE IS MY CARD:

I embossed the Misty Moonlight mat with a now retired embossing folder that looks like hatch marks and I combined designer papers from both the Take to the Sky and the Country Woods 12 x 12 Designer Series packages.   The clouds, plane and sentiment banner were all cut out with the Adventurous Sky dies.  I added Rustic Metallic Adhesive backed dots #159082 to the wheel hubs and propellor on the plane and in the bottom corner.

SUPPLIES USED:

Stamps and Dies:
  • Adventurous Sky Stamp Set #163439
  • Adventurous Sky Dies #163446
  • Scalloped Contour Die (R) for whisper white mat for  inside card
Card Stock:
  • Whisper White Base 8 1/2 x 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"
  • Crumb Cake mat 3 7/8" x 5 1/8", a 3 7/8" x 1" strip and scrap for plane body
  • Misty Moonlight mat 3 3/4" x 5"
  • Basic Gray scrap for the plane die cut
Ink:
  • Misty Moonlight
Designer Papers:
  • Take To the Sky #163436

Well that's it for today's card.  I hope you enjoyed it.  There's plenty of time to play along with this challenge and link your own creation, so if you're interested  visit the Try a Sketch on Tuesday blog site to check out the details.  Until next time.....

I've also entered this card in the Father's Day Raffle at the TSOT sister site,  Double Trouble  Challenge #167 - "Double Trouble 6th Year Anniversary Raffle".
